  2. Information About Me • This year is my 10th year teaching. • It is my 8th year at HCS in 3rd grade. • I previously taught Kindergarten and 1st grade in the Bronx and 2nd grade in Greenwich.

  3. Important Information • School begins: 9:05 a.m. • Recess: 12:30 – 12:50 • Lunch: 1:00 – 1:25 • Dismissal: 3:35 p.m.

  4. Specials • Monday – Physical Education • Tuesday – Info Tech and Computer Lab • Wednesday – Physical Education • Thursday – Music • Friday- Art • *Students must wear sneakers on PE days. • Please provide a smock for Art

  6. PBIS • “PBIS” is short for Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports. • Effective classroom management and practices that prevent behavioral problems are essential for supporting teaching and learning. • Clearly defined behavioral expectations are taught and reinforced.

  10. Homework • Read 20 minutes nightly • XtraMath 4 nights a week (alternate assignment available) • Other assignments throughout the year • Check your child’s Agenda and initial the bottom
