  2. Aim • Presentation of - company/organisation- activities- experience

  3. Form • Stand (two school desks), relevant material • - articles, folders, pictures, …- poster- slides (PowerPoint) • Laptop? Bring your own! • Don’t forget you need a wire/ a reel! • Oral clarification/explanation & answers to questions

  4. Poster • See handoutwithinstructions(published on the ELO).

  5. Oral Explanation • Think of whatyouwouldliketotell • Make sureyour story supports/ is relatedtowhatyou show

  6. Tips (1) • Make sure you look representative (neatly and suitably dressed) • Use the right (polite) tone and vocabulary to address adults • Do not talk all the time, leave room for questions • Look around at the different people you are talking to

  7. Tips (2) • Pay attention to posture - hands: not in your pockets- gestures to support your story • Speak clearly • Stand up straight

  8. Tips (3) • When using slides and/or video: not too long • Don’t look at your own poster and/or slides. Look at the people you are talking to • Make sure everything you show is clearly visible • Practise your presentation a few times

  9. PresentationsTuesday 7 May • 15.30 – 16.30 Prepare stand: set up your booth in a location assigned to you. Make sure you are on time, so you can make the best of your stand. • 16.30 – 18.00 uurPresentations: all in English!Parents and employer(s): invite them to come! Presentation will be graded by teachers who will ask questions in English. Don’t leave until 6 pm. • 18.00 – 18.30 uurTables back to original place. Don’t leave rubbish.

  10. Finally • Hand in your report (including your journal) on Tuesday 7 May, when you give your presentations. Make sure your report is on your table and that you give it to the teacher who grades your presentaton. • Very important: Read the instructions in your Students’ Information Reader on how to hand in your report. • You can work at school or at home.
