ABOUT INDIA VISION FOUNDATION • Founded by Ramon Magsaysay AwardwinnerDr. KiranBedi in the year 1994. • It began its work inside the prison, by setting up a bread making unit within the Prison. • Her belief is ‘Saving the Next Victim’. • India Vision Foundation is a non-profit, voluntary, non-government organization registered as a Trust in India vides No. 4595 dated 1 August 1994. • All donations to India Vision Foundation are exempted under Section 80G of Income Tax Act, 1961 of Government of India

BRIEF ABOUT SAFER INDIA • SaferIndia is one of the extremely dedicated projects of India Vision Foundation • It aims at endeavouring safety and security in the country. • It provides a connecting channel between the citizens and authorities. • It ensures that citizens get their rights fulfilled in a very right and authentic manner. • It follows a very effective system in which a complaint can be logged here and also ensure that the concerned department get to know about the complainant. • It helps the comman man to get his voice herd. • It also ensures people do not take undue advantage of benefits of the service by having strict legal provisions prohibiting the same.

JOURNEY WITH IVF • My journey with IVF began on 15thmay. • My mentor Mr. AnupSinha introduced me to the rules and regulations on which the Ngo functioned. • access to the id and password which the Ngo uses • assemble all the necessary information in a word document. • The problem was made into a word document and was tabulated under various headings • Name • Place where they belong • Contact details • Jist of the problem • About the details given • observation

I was asked to make phone calls to the victim • more than 65 problems dealt • After one week met DrKiranBedimaam. • She enquired about the status of the work and adviced to visit family counsellingcentre. • Meeting maamwas a great privilege and speaking to her further enhanced my confidence and helped me to further in cooperate few things in my training programme which increased efficiency of my work.

FAMILY COUNSELING CENTER • Jahangirpuri ( navjyoticounselling center 2 days) • under PremSoniMaamOver there I learnt • how the center functioned • how records are maintained • how action is taken • how funds are arranged • how entries are made. • was also told about many sections of IPC . • also met the lawyer under them.

  7. The problems that came there were related mostly to • Divorce • Property dispute • Maintenance • Child counselling • Marital disputes • Dowry • Domestic violence

  8. WHAT I HAVE LAERNT • With my experience with safer India I’ve learnt that the problems which mainly I came acrossed are related to domestic violence, dowry, corruption, theft and cheating. This shows that the major problems faced in the society is in this area.

  9. first party Is not always correct even though it always seems to be. • One gets a better idea of the problem after listening to the complaint from the complainant’s mouth. • Third party can never initiate an action for the other. In case a third party asks for help, no legal guidance can be given. • Most of the problems get solved easily only by effective counselling.

POSITIVES • Great learning opportunity • Great working experience • It create leaders so as even if he leaves IVF , he follows it’s ideas • Easier accessibility of resources • Helpful and experienced mentors • Effective and structured way of functioning of the Ngo. • Very deep and strong foundation • Disciplined work environment.

  13. WEAKNESS • There should be more of felid work in order to widen the practical arena. • It should not b easily approachable.

CONCLUSION • IVF teaches Living not in present but beyond your present. • It made me believe in “Not living but leading your life” • It tells us about to How to prevent the unavoidable situations by providing help at the right time. • It strongly believes in creative and positive thinking • It further helped in enhancing my self-awareness
