  2. TYPOLOGY OF WORKPLACE VIOLENCE Type I: Perpetrator enters business with an intent to commit a criminal act. Type II: Perpetrator is a customer, client, patient or inmate. Type III: Perpetrator is an employee or past employee. Type IV: Perpetrator is a personal acquaintance of the intended victim and has no legitimate relationship with the business.

  9. One final thought…. In an evaluation of 2,029 violent crimes in Los Angeles businesses: Customers were 1.3times more likely to be injured than employees.
