ESPR Background • An electronic approval tool that replaces the OSR-2, OSR-6 and OSR-7 forms (Built on the retired eProposalplatform) • Also used to initiate OSR’s negotiation of a non-disclosure-agreement • Security: No need for PI delegation – anyone with a Netidcan initiate a request • Routing – based on approvers in InfoEd • Go-Live : July 22,2013

  4. Break-In Phase • Optional use: paper OSR-2/6/7 still available • Enhancement suggestions collected • Bugs - fixed as reported • Approx. 650 requests initiated, 100 suggestions received in Phase I • Workgroup to convene and review feedback - make recommendations for Phase II

Feedback Samples • PI signature – upload option or delegation • Routing/approval modifications – by transaction • Burden of “Sending back” – re-approvals • Change of Dept – route to both units • Lengthen maximum characters in text boxes • Expand file size limitation • Additional type categories – “Other” option • Identifier for who initiated the request • Add additional clarifying language/guidance in some areas

  7. Considerations Moving Forward • Determine Top Priorities - Phase II Enhancements • Timeline for Version 2 development - based on scope • Ready for Mandatory Roll-out?
