CPG 1-20 Workspace Criteria • CPG 1-20 recommends a range of 50 to 85 sq.ft. per occupant • Workspace need should be based on concept of operations and extenuating variables • Appendix D representative floor plans all based on 85 sq.ft. per staff • Division considers a range of 85 to 120 sq.ft. per staff suitable for modern EOCs

HB 7121 County EOC Construction and Improvement • Provided $20M for basic construction and $25M for wind and flood survivability enhancements • Funding limited to construction of the building • land acquisition or improvements ineligible • purchase of furnishings and equipment ineligible • recurring expenses ineligible

Funding Formula • $70M in funding requests from about half of counties • Funding had to be proportionally distributed • State funds limited to counties with EOCs that did not meet ARC 4496 • Funding for non-fiscally constrained counties limited to 50 sq.ft. per staff • Fiscally constrained counties split remaining funds (83 sq.ft. per staff) • Proposed funding based on CPG 1-20 staff size, workspace allowance per staff, and model square foot costs at basic wind speed; HMGP proposed to fund above-code wind & flood criteria
