  22. Dark Counts vs Temp.

  23. Dark Counts at –10 deg C 4 tubes, which shows larger dark counts, are selected. Dark counts at –10 deg C were checked. (TA0472 is out of SPEC at 25 deg C.)

  24. Homework at the meeting in May <Hamamatsu> To send Shock & Vibration level of PMT in the Package To send Shock & Vibration level of PMT itself To send Handling Procedure of PMT (ICECUBE wants to know how to handle PMTs.) To send Component List of PMT (If PMT is broken, is it dangerous ??) To send ISO related Document

  25. Homework at the meeting in May <ICECUBE Group> To check Radioactivity of the Glass (Hamamatsu sent crushed glass in Jan.2003.) To check transmittance of the Glass (Hamamatsu sent glass plates in Jan.2003.) To check Fluorescence of the Glass (Hamamatsu sent glass blocks in Aug.2003.) To send available Test data (for correlation) To check appearance of all tubes <= This is being done right now!!

  26. Sampling Test Method From next batch of 360 pcs order, 10 % of tubes will be sent to Univ of Chiba. (12 pcs per month in Aug., Sept., Oct.) (Delivery would be in July, Aug, Sept..) (Transportation would be 4 times.) Univ of Chiba will test them in 1 month. Test data is used for adjusting production condition and for making correlation.

  27. How to Handle Rejection Hamamatsu replaces all rejected tubes. All expanse is paid by Hamamatsu. If Hamamatsu doesn’t understand reject reason, the tube has to be returned for evaluation. (It depends, but at every 6 months or so) If reject reason is clear with simple report, it’s not necessary to return the tube.
