  2. What is the climate like? • In Nicaragua, the climate is very tropical, so it is suitable to grow coffee beans and cacao beans.

  3. What are the homes like? • Most people live in barrios near their relatives. • Houses in barrios are simple but somewhat comfortable.

  4. What people do for fun???? • Soccer is a popular sport there • Cockfights • Bullfighting are popular sports there too • Baseball Is the national sport there

  5. What kind of traditions and holidays are there? • Las Gigantonas ,or giant puppets have been a tradition in Nicaragua for hundreds of years.

  6. Nicaragua’s government • In Nicaragua, they have a republic government, like the U.S.A.

  8. What do they eat? • In Nicaragua, they eat rice, beans, fried bananas, onions, corn, tortillas and plantains, because meat is too expensive to eat every day. • Most Nicaraguans favorite food is gallo – pinto, a mixture of rice and red beans fried with diced onions and tomatoes.
