  5. Christ first • He is the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep. • The Martyrs of the Great Tribulation The Chronology of The First Resurrection

  6. 20But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep. 21For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. 22For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. 23But each in his own turn: Christ, the first fruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him. (1 Cor. 15:20-23) The First Resurrection: 1) Christ

  7. Those who belong to HIM when He comes; • These are the ones who will be sleeping in Christ at the time of the Rapture . The First Resurrection2) Those who belong to Christ

  8. But each in his own turn: Christ, the first fruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him. (1 Cor.15:23) • For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. (1 Cor. 15:52) The First Resurrection: 2) Those who belong to Christ

  9. These are those who will be beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God. They will not worship the beast or his image and will not receive his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They will came to life after the Great Tribulation and will reign with Christ a thousand years. The First Resurrection: 3) The martyrs of the Great Tribulation

  10. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years. • (Rev. 4:4) The First Resurrection: 3) The martyrs of the GT

  11. 4:5(The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection. 6Blessed and holy are those who have part in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years. The First Resurrection: 3) The martyrs of the GT

  12. 13But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, 14and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.“ • (Luke 14:13-14) The FIRST ResurrectionorTHE RESURRECTION OF THE RIGHTEOUS

  13. All resurrections are possible because of the power of the work of Jesus Christ on the cross. The same power that raised Christ from the dead, will raise the people of God. The Power of Resurrection

  14. . The Power of Resurrection

  15. All resurrections are possible because of the CROSS of Christ. That cross produced all resurrections: Jesus was the first head to come up from the dead; we will be next until the first resurrection is completed. CHRIST THOSE WHO SLEEP IN CHRIST THE M A R T Y R S The Power of Resurrection

  16. All resurrections are possible because of the CROSS of Christ. That cross produced all resurrections: Jesus was the first head to come up from the dead; we will be next until the first resurrection is completed. Then, after the Millenary Kingdom of Christ ends, the second resurrection will happen. The Power of Resurrection

  17. Jesus said, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies.” (John 11:25) The Power of Resurrection

The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.(Rev. 4:5) The Second Resurrection: All the wicked who are dead

Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. 12And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. The Second Resurrection: All the wicked who are dead

(This is the second death) Rev. 20:11-15 The Second Resurrection: All the wicked who are dead

  22. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes will not be hurt at all by the second death. (Rev. 2:11) Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death (Rev.20:14) But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.“ (Rev. 21:8) The Second Resurrection: The Second Death

  23. “1 At that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then. But at that time your people—everyone whose name is found written in the book—will be delivered. 2 Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt. 3 Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever. 4 But you, Daniel, close up and seal the words of the scroll until the time of the end. Many will go here and there to increase knowledge." (Daniel 12:1-4) 1 The Resurrections
