Adult Education Act (I) § 8. • Persons employed under an employment contract and persons in public service shall be granted study leave in order to participate in education and training. • In order to participate in education and training, study leave shall be granted on the basis of a notice from educational institution for 30 calendar days in calendaryear.

  5. Adult Education Act (II) • The employer shall continue to pay an employee or public servant who is on training leave to participate in formal education or job related training the average wages of the employee or public servant for 20 calendar days. • For employee participating in formal education additional study leave for 15 calendar days is granted for graduation of studies and during this period should be paid minimal salary according to ECA §29 subsection 5.

  6. Adult Education Act (III) • Regulations of subsections 2–4 applies to employees who also participate in full time formal education. § 9. An employer may postpone the grant of study leave if more than 10% of the employees or public servants are on study leave at the same time.
