  2. Welcome SERA The East Tennessee Grotto (ETG) is hosting the 2009 SERA Winter Business meeting in Oak Ridge, Tennessee on March 7th, 2009.  We hope you enjoy your stay.

  3. Oak Ridge Civic Center Unload stuff here  The meeting will be held in the A/B Room at the Oak Ridge Civic Center. Oak Ridge is convenient 20 minute drive from the Knoxville Airport (TYS).

  18. Caves – Anderson County • Carter’s Pit - This is a really nice 100' pit with some cave at the bottom. Gated, special permission needed • Toilet Bowl Cave – 12,000’ p/g • Hill Cave – 2930’ gated TVA cave, s/p • Norris Dam Cave – 1045’ TVA Cave p/g • Turtle Graveyard Cave – 5436’, 34’ entrance drop • Drive-in Cave – 1751’, p/g • Martin’s Cave – 700’, p/g. Ask about nearby Razor’s Edge cave

  19. Caves – Knox County • Cherokee Caverns – 1500+, semi commercial cave. This is the home to the former annual Haunted Cave. It has some nice formations, bring a camera. Trips must be arranged. • Conner Creek Cave – 689’ p/g • Heiskell Pit - 108’ entrance, 180’ long • Rockhill Cave – 3900’, has a nice 50’ pit in the cave, 190’ vertical extent. P/g • Cherokee Bluff Cave – 1700’

  25. Caves – Roane County • Popular Creek Skylight Cave – 440’, nice 40’ chimney out the Skylight entrance • Popular Creek Stream Cave – 1500+, these 2 entrances are only about 30’ apart. • Eblen’s Cave – 3347’, s/p needed

  26. Caves – Campbell County • Murrayville Cave – 1000’, lots of nice formations. Very little graffiti. • Dry Cave – 560’ • Easterly Cave – 4225’, this cave along with Dry Cave and Preacher’s Cave are accessed from same parking area. • Preacher’s Cave – 367’

From North Bound – I-75 (Chattanooga): Merge onto I-40 W via EXIT 84B on the LEFT toward NASHVILLE. 3.9 miles Take the US-321 / TN-95 exit- EXIT 364- toward LENOIR CITY / OAK RIDGE. 0.1 miles Merge onto TN-95 N toward MELTON HILL DAM / OAK RIDGE. 6.4 miles Merge onto OAK RIDGE TURNPIKE / TN-95 N toward OAK RIDGE. 8.2 miles End at Oak Ridge Civic Center: 1403 Oak Ridge Turnpike, Oak Ridge, TN 37830 The Civic Center will be the first building on the right, after passing Robertsville Rd. (traffic light #11), directly across from the Oak Ridge High School on the left. *Note: Some two lane roads but avoids potential traffic delays
