  3. The TCAP • Subjects and Times • The Breakdown: • Reading/LA: Thursday • Part 1: 68 minutes for 39 items • Part 2: 64 minutes for 38 items • Math: Friday • Part 1: 50 minutes for 39 items • Part 2: 48 minutes for 38 items

The TCAP All cell phones off or turned in!!! • Procedures @ LCMS prior to test: • Be at school for the test. • Be on time. • Get enough rest. • Eat a good breakfast. • Have materials for testing [SEVERAL sharpened No. 2 pencils, calculator (see Ms. Deal), paper (for math)] NO MECHANICAL PENCILS!!! • Have a good attitude.

  6. The TCAP • During the test: • Be quiet (no talking). • Follow directions (don’t open booklet until told, etc.). • Start and stop when told. • Bubble completely and erase completely. • Bubble all items (if you don’t answer all items it counts against you).

  7. The TCAP • During the test (continued): • After completing, if time left, check over material. • Don’t change answers unless your 100% sure your changing to correct answer. • Please be honest and do your own work. • Bring a book (just in case). • READ ALL DIRECTIONS!

  11. After TCAP daily: • You will be given a break on Thursday & Fridayin the afternoon by 6th grade teachers. • Monday you will have time in all classes (mini-schedule). • Tuesday, you will be given a break in the afternoon by 6th grade teachers.

  12. I recommend that you: • Go to bed at reasonable time • Go to the bathroom before school • Eat breakfast • Take a snack from your teacher • Try your best • Bring materials!!!!
