  2. Beginning to End Birth And Death James Madison was born in Port Conway Virginia on March 16, 1751. James Madison died at Montpelier in 1836.

  3. James Madison had a good education. He went to school at Princeton University, in New Jersey. He was very smart. Education

  4. Family James Madison was the oldest of twelve children. When he was young he was called Jemmy. He lived on his dad’s tobacco plantation. When he grew up, he had lots of land. James Madison had a wife. Her name was Dolly Payne. They had NO children. They got married on the date of 1794, September 15. [My mom’s birthday]

  5. Contributions He was a husband to Dolly Payne. He was the main writer of the Constitution and he is called the Father of the Constitution. He was the fourth [4th] President of the United States.

  6. More Contributions - Before he became a president he had served as Secretary of State under the 3rd President, Thomas Jefferson. - He helped create the U.S. federal system - He also studied law.
