Degree Evaluation -Plan - Review - Graduate This tutorial will walk you through how to conduct an evaluation of the courses you’ve taken and how they apply to the degree program you are registered in. You can also use this tool to determine how the courses you’ve taken apply if you wish to add a minor or change your major.

  11. General information about your academic record. Please make sure your information is correct. If a correction is necessary, please e-mail mydegree@ithaca.edu These are the overall requirements for your degree and includes those courses you are currently registered for.

  12. Major course requirements. Red “No” means the requirement has not been met. If you have questions about the requirements you have left to complete, you should work with your program adviser.

  13. If you’ve declared a minor, it will appear with your major requirements. If you see a requirement with “)OR(“ and one of the courses in that requirement has been completed but it still has a red “No”, it will change when the entire area is completed. You do not need to take both courses in an “OR” situation.

  14. Attributes for General Education requirements are shown, along with credits and grade for each course. Credits and the grade for each course applied to the program appear here.

  15. TIP: When searching for courses during registration, you can search by attribute so that you can get a list of all the courses offered for a semester that fulfill a specific General Education requirement.

  16. The Source column indicates whether the requirement is being fulfilled by a course or exam. H = Student course history; R = registered course; E = placement exam.

  17. Liberal Arts Requirement: New York State requirement for bachelor degrees is BA – 90 credits; BS – 60 credits; BM & BFA – 30 credits. These courses can also count toward requirements in other areas.

  18. Open Electives are courses/credits you need to complete to ensure you have a minimum of 120 credits for a Bachelor’s degree in New York State, but do not fulfill any other degree requirements. If you’ve failed or withdrawn from a course, or received a grade of NGS or Incomplete, the course will appear in this area. Courses and credits in this area are not applied to your degree program.
