  11. Story of Two Advisory Councils… Advisory Council “A” Advisory Council “B” Plenty of 1’st Time Team Members Raises Excess Funds Leader’s Identified 2 – 3 years in advance. Called to do God’s work Representing Christ to Participants/Guest Inspired and Motivated. • Struggles to get Team Members • Struggles with Funds • Veteran Team Members Burning Out.

Advisory Council Operating Procedures • Outreach/Recruiting Coordinator role is filled. • A sub-committee for performing recruiting activities is identified and established.- Understands that ""every"" volunteer should be recruiting new volunteers • Seeks help and guidance from KPMI / State Recruiting & Outreach Committee. • Establishes and maintains a speakers’ bureau and actively solicits and arranges speaking engagements by speakers’ bureau for presentations for all Kairos programs. • Emphasizes the many ways to support the ministry, through prayer and by partnering with others to provide financial support.

  14. Recruiting Activities.. • Be Deliberate • Get out of your comfort zone … identify and approach churches, congregations you are unfamiliar with • Conduct Special Events • Engage Kairos Community (Retain/Recruitment) • Nurture Kairos Team Health

Fundraising • Everyone’s is responsibility to help raise the necessary funds to support Kairos Weekends. • Financially contributing allows those who cannot personally participate to support the Ministry. • Support Fundraising Coordinator • Ideas: • Form teams to pursue specific initiatives • Share and Seek Fund Raising ideas! • Best place to start are churches • Community Groups • Special Recognition/Memorial Gifts Remember Kairos is a non-profit organization and cannot “sell” items. We can, however, post “suggested donations” to help raise funds.

  16. Growth & Development Growth / Development • Identifying Leaders – The Advisory Council will identify and train future Weekend Leaders in a timely manner. • Leadership Track – The Advisory Council will select future Leaders based on their experience
