Virtual Fax, our dedicated carrier and technical team, ensure immediate on-site problem response and technical support (support@virfax.co.za). • We have taken the traditional faxing solution where faxes were sent from fax machine to fax machine, to the second generation, where a fax numbers could be attached to an email address and faxes could now be delivered as an email attachment. • Virtual Fax,our carrier, has taken the next step in fax management, not only building a solution for receiving faxes faster and more efficiently, but also for sending faxes without downtime and no losses. The new generation FaxScan device makes it even easier, being able to authenticate with all multifunction fax units available in the market place today. We take the fax from the client side and compile and encrypt it into a data package We upload it to our server through the internet which decrypts the data packet and renders the document to the correct format. Our server then connects to a POIL ( Point of Interconnect Line ) through our Interface cards and sends it through a controlled environment to the specified fax number entered by the user. How we do it

Through being able to send a fax through a POIL (Point of interconnect line ) and not the traditional PSTN ( Public Subscriber Telephone Network ) we have all the benefits of a wholesale telephony provider but with the stability of the traditional networks. This enables us to have the flexibility of being able to interconnect with VOIP providers and fix the head ache of sending and receiving faxes through any internet connection. The benefits include multiple billing rates, value added services and bundled products to boost revenue streams. Why we do it

  5. Step One Subscribe and register as a Virfax user via the internet. Step Two A username and password will be registered and then sent to you. Step Three Your 087 number will be allocated and forwarded to you. This will allow you to send and receive faxes directly into your email box either as an attachment or as a notification. How to use

Functionality • The web based console functions and operates in the same way as your Microsoft Outlook application. • This managed fax solution, was created to save you time on functionality (user friendly) and bandwidth (faster system), whereby reducing your monthly costs (per second billing). • Access to the Virfaxmanaged console will be opened, once you have entered your correct username and password as shown below.

  7. You now have access to your Virfaxmanaged IP solution, you will be able to view, categorise, print, forward, edit and delete your faxes as needed.

Sending from your email boxto outbound fax machine • The fax number is entered in the To: Field as seen below, (0879422809@faxsend.co.za) Faxsend is the domain you are using. • The body of the email will be the cover page of the fax. • The attachment of the email will be your fax that you would like to send.

  9. Print to Fax • For this solution, you need to install the Virfaxprint driver onto your personal computer, this is available at www.virfax.co.za, under downloads, this is critical when wanting to fax your documents. • Once installed, go to file, select print and select the Virfaxprint driver.

  10. Print to Fax • Once you have successfully selected the Virfaxprint driver,a page is going to display as a security measure to ensure that the Virfax user is certain that the documentation is secure and stored. • Type your username and password in the indicated fields as shown below.

Added functions • If you’reusername and passwordis correct, the verification process will be complete and the Virfaxbox will open, then simply complete the information in the indicated fields as shown below. • Create a company default cover page and address book. • Send to more than one user at the same time. • Manage, track or recall all your faxes and have the freedom of knowing that your faxes are stored and never lost.

FaxScan device and specifications The VirfaxScan device connects to your current Fax or multifunction unit, no matter which make or model, with a standard telephone line on the one side and the internet on the other. The VirfaxScan device converts the fax into a specialized format (TRUE IP - FAX) and sends the fax via the internet to the designate number, once installed the FaxScan device will allocated a new 087 number profile. This device enable’s the client to obtain the same benefits on a Multifunction unit or fax machine as that of standard Fax 2 email users.
