  3. Folder Copy Options Copy group attributes? Copy list memberships of groups? Copy privileges of groups? Copy list memberships where groups in the folder being copied are members of other groups? Copy privileges where the groups in the folder being copied have privileges to other groups or folders? Copy folder privileges?

  5. Privilege Differences When Copying a Folder With Groups vs an Individual Group • Copying an individual group • You must have at least READ privilege. Potentially need higher privileges if copying attributes or privileges of the group. • You will have ADMIN privilege to the new group. • Copying a folder that contains groups • Never gain additional privileges to the new groups that are created. • Therefore, you don’t necessarily need READ or higher privilege on existing groups. But then you may not have access to the newly copied groups.

  6. Folder Move Options Set alternate names for folders and groups – If you select this option, the alternate ID paths of the folders and groups being moved will be set to their old ID paths.

  7. Group Move Options Set alternate name – If you select this option, the alternate ID path of the group will be set to the group’s old ID path.

  8. Steps to Move or Copy a Folder or Group While viewing a folder, click on the “Moves and Copies” link.

Steps to Move or Copy a Folder or Group (continued) • Depending on the privileges that you have on that folder, you may see one or more of the following. • Copy this folder • Need Create Folder privilege on destination folder • Move this folder • Need Create Folder privilege on destination folder • Copy another folder here • Move another folder here • Need Create Folder privilege on folder being moved • Copy another group here • Need appropriate privileges on group depending on selected options • Move another group here • Need ADMIN privilege on group

Steps to Move or Copy a Folder or Group (continued) If moving or copying a folder, enter the appropriate ID Path of the folder or select one from the list based on folders in the Folder workspace. If moving or copying a group, enter the appropriate ID Path of the group or select one from the list based on groups in the Group workspace. Select options previously discussed.

  11. Alternate Method to Move a Group While viewing a group, click on the “Move group” link. Enter the ID Path of the destination folder or select one from the list based on folders in the Folder workspace. Select options previously discussed.

  12. Alternate Method to Copy a Group While viewing a group, click on the “Copy group” link. Enter the ID Path of the destination folder or select one from the list based on folders in the Folder workspace. Select options previously discussed.
