  3. History of takraw • Sepal Takraw was created by a royal family of Malaysia about 500 years ago. The name comes from two languages sepak is “kick” in Malay and Takraw is “ball” in Thai. • When the game was made it looked like Kerman- players form a loose circle, the number of times the ball is kicked before it touches the ground is counted. • In 1965 the game was unified into the present Volleyball.

  4. How to play In the game you need 2 teams and three players on a court that measures 20 by 44 feet, The net stands 5 feet tall. The team is called a Regu. The server or tekong stands in the back. Two remaining team mates play the front line, one of the right known as the right inside. One foot must stay in the serving circle while serving. A team mate tosses the ball and one of the servers feet must stay must remain on the ground while kicking the ball. The serve must happen as soon the official announces the score.

  5. How to play 2 Once the serve is on its way players can move around the side of the court. The ball can’t touch your arm. One team can’t kick the ball more than three times in a row if that happens the other team gets a point. • A team must win 21 points to win and must win by a two point margin. • Each game has two sets unless a tie-breaker is necessary.

  6. How to play 3 • The first team to 15 wins unless its a tie, then the first team to 17 points wins.
