  4. Elementary Teacher Position • My teaching qualities: • Bachelors Degree • Two Associates Degrees: • Business Administration • Arts & Science • People person • Organized • Classroom Management Skills • Many hours of observation • Eligible for provisional license

  5. My Beliefs: • I believe in learning for all • Every child deserves an education • Instructional strategies should be used daily for all students at every level to learn • I believe in differentiated classrooms and cooperative learning

  6. My Educational Philosophy • My educational philosophy is to teach young children how to read and write and how to interact socially with one another. • Every child has the right to receive an effective education, whether general education or special education.

  7. My Educational Philosophy • Heward says, “As educators, our primary responsibility is to design and implement effective instruction for academic, social, vocational, and personal skills, just like the ones that influences the quality of our own lives.” (p.4) • I agree with him whole heartedly, and I will prepare to instruct all of my students to the fullest so they too will succeed in life. • Reference: • Heward, W. (2006). Exceptional children: An introduction to special education (8th ed.). Upper Saddle River, NJ: Merrill/Prentice Hall.

  8. My vision on teaching • As a young adult going into teaching I feel as though children are our future. They will be the ones who will run the country and who will be in our military troops. Children need to be taught the basics of survival at an early age. I feel as though it is partially a teacher’s job and duty to make sure that a child has been taught the skills needed for life and that they have been taught responsibility and right from wrong. I believe teaching is not just a job but it takes a special person with patience and understanding characteristics to be able to teach children all day.
