  1. MYTH, proved by Tanishq Kancharla FALSE As long as you take a vitamin everyday, you don’t need to eat a lot of fruits or vegetables.

  2. Taking this a day isn’t fun!

  3. Now onto why it isn’t good. • Pills have many chemicals. Most of them are mostly harmless, but when taken in large amounts, it could kill you. These drugs contain chemicals that when injected into your blood stream, the chemicals attach to your veins, eating you from the inside. There’s a lot of data proving that multivitamin pills are quite bad for you.

  4. The Data • Diabetes, multivitamin pills increase your chance of getting type-2 diabetes because of too much Vitamin K. • Pills increase your chance at fatal prostate cancer. • Despite what the labels say, the vitamins do not protect you against lung cancer. In fact, it might even increase your chances. • Supplements increase you risk of dying. You are 4% more likely to die than compared to if you are not taking vitamins.

  5. “Take your vitamins!” • That’s what mom says. But what vitamins? The vitamins packed fresh in las vejitales and las frutas or getting them packed man-made into a powder that may kill you. I don’t about you, the first offer sounds good.

  6. Fun facts(not really fun…, facts) • Healthy people can obtain all the vitamins and minerals they need from eating a variety of foods. • Taking supplements does not guarantee protection against disease. • Large doses of either single nutrient supplements or high potency vitamin-mineral combinations may be harmful. • Vitamin deficiency is rare unless a person's diet is limited and lacks variety. • Do not take self-prescribed single nutrient supplements without first consulting a physician or registered dietitian.

  7. THE FACT: • Appendages supply some vitamins and minerals, but they do not provide all of the components of food necessary for good health. We need 42 nutrients each day. Supplements supply only a fraction of these and are not a quick fix for poor food choices. Additionally, fruits and vegetables have additional nutrients that are beneficial for health known as phytochemicals. While some phytochemicals may individually be found in supplement form, a single serving of fruits or vegetables can provide a much higher number of these nutrients in an all natural form.
