  2. "What Is Global Warming?" Global warming is when the earth heats up (the temperature rises). It happens when greenhouse gases (carbon dioxide, water vapor, nitrous oxide, and methane) trap heat and light from the sun in the earth’s atmosphere, which increases the temperature. This hurts many people, animals, and plants. Many cannot take the change, so they die Home Next End

Global Warming effects 5Deadliest Effects of Global Warming • Polar ice caps melting • it will raise sea levels • Economic consequences • melting ice caps will throw the global ecosystem out of balance • Increased probability and intensity of droughts(旱災) and heat waves (熱浪) • Although some areas of Earth will become wetter due to global warming, other areas will suffer serious droughts and heat waves. • Warmer waters and more hurricanes(颶風) • As the temperature of oceans rises, so will the probability of more frequent and stronger hurricanes.   4. What causes Global Warming? Global Warming is caused by many things. The causes are split up into two groups, man-made or anthropogenic causes, and natural causes. • Natural Causes • Natural causes are causes created by nature. One natural cause is a release of methane(甲烷) gas from arctic tundra(北極苔原) and wetlands(沼澤地). Methane is a greenhouse gas. A greenhouse gas is a gas that traps heat in the earth's atmosphere. Another natural cause is that the earth goes through a cycle of climate change. This climate change usually lasts about 40,000 years. • Man-made Causes • Man-made causes probably do the most damage. There are many man-made causes. Pollution is one of the biggest man-made problems. • Burning fossil fuels(燃燒化石燃料) is one thing that causes pollution • Another major man-made cause of Global Warming is population. • Some other examples • of using energy and polluting the • air are: • Turning on a light • Watching T.V. • Using a hair dryer ..etc Home Up Next End

My personal opinions Saving our environment ＝ saving our lives 環保議題一直是我們最注重的，從分類開始一直到推行許多綠化的活動，從這些細微的觀察裡，我們都能看到地球村子民的一步一步改變，這是我們的地球、是我們的母親，也許我們無法抑制暖化的速度，但是只要一個人願意從此刻開始改變，只要十個人願意開始改變，只要一百個人願意改變……….，我深信我們的社會我們的地球將會有所不同。Go Green 也是國外非常提倡的綠化活動之一，減少使用環保袋、減少使用可能會汙染大氣層的氣體用具、減少能源的消耗…等等，這些都是最好的行動證明我們愛我們的地球，別再自私下去了！拯救地球已經刻不容緩了！因為 : 我們是地球村的一份子，這是我們的地球，我們不能自私下去了，我們要把好的環境留給我們的下一代，讓他們也能享受和感受到地球的美好！ Home Up Next End
