  2. Background • 11 year old boy • Problems with Aggression, Compliance, and AWOL • System • Low to Middle SES • Enmeshed relationship with parents • 2 differing parenting styles • No structured routine present

  3. Overview • Service lasted 9 months • Service was provided out in the community including his home and school. • Target behaviors • Aggression • Non-compliance • AWOL • Implemented tangible visual aids to assist in implementing a structured routine tailored to the individual

Coordination of Care • All MH services were provided at HOPE • Counseling, Collateral (parent education), Psychiatry, and TBS • Working with outside agencies to utilize strengths and build upon them by having a meeting every 4-6 weeks during the duration of TBS • Able to pull skills from different settings to create a streamlined plan that worked for individual

Results • Behaviors were decreased to: 0 incidents of aggression, increasing compliance in the home and school settings, and reducing AWOL to 0. • Support system: Family, teacher’s aide, and extended family. • Transition plan: continuing counseling and collateral support at HOPE. Starting an afterschool program and recreational activities. • Graduation!!!!
