What is the BASIS CRSP? • A social science research network designed to improve the life of the rural poor through research dedicated to enhancing access to resources and to enhancing the access to the markets needed to permit people to make better use of the resources that they have • Current research projects include: • Poverty traps and productive social safety nets • Credit reporting bureaus & access to capital • Policy outreach confernces including upcoming (12-13 June) DC symposium ‘Evaluating the Impact of innovations in Rural Finance’
