INL Current Actions • INL programmes in collaboration with the Ministry of the Interior (National Civil Police Force, Penitentiary System, DIGICI), the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the Judiciary, INACIF; • Programmes: Police(PNC-PMTs), Reducing Demand, Rule of Law Programme and Aviation Programme; • Expanding its vision and strategies to include the community and municipalities; • Prevention programmes (boys, girls and adolescents, youth): • GREAT, DARE, Experiencia de Vida, LAP.

INL: Current Actions and Strengthening Efforts • Expanding its vision and strategy to include municipalities, through the Community Police Programme (Programa de Policía Comunitaria): • Prevention programmes (boys, girls and adolescents, youth); • GREAT, DARE, Centro Piramide, Experiencia de Vida de Agustin Coroy, LAP. • A video surveillance centre; • Combined patrols (pilot K-9 Unit); • Criminal investigation. • Preventing immigration, especially of unaccompanied boys, girls and adolescents, “Casa del migrante” shelter; • Strengthening ethnic communities – ethnic municipalities and ancestral authorities; • Reducing domestic violence – Ak´Yu´Am.

  15. TALKS ON VIOLENCE PREVENTION Nos estamos enfocando en llegar a la juventud de San Miguel Petapa, con charlas en prevención del delito de la mano con las tres instituciones Municipales que son Policía Municipal, Policía Municipal de Transito y la Oficina Municipal de la Juventud.

  16. COMISIÓN MUNICIPAL DE JUVENTUD -CMJ- Es un espacio de participación de las y los jóvenes para generar procesos de diálogo, colaboración y seguimiento. Son un ente participativo a nivel comunitario y municipal para desarrollar políticas de juventud.
