  3. Call to Action • We are asking you to make an individual commitment by becoming a signatory of the Minnesota Covenant. As a result, we encourage you to seek others at your school, church or other organizational affiliations to incorporate these 18 measurable goals around educational equity into practice.

  5. Individual Action • Encourage others to read it, ask questions, and sign it. • Discuss it with your local school board members and their staff. • Share it with your state senator or representative .

  6. Families Action • Convene a family meeting about education equity with excellence. • Connect with other families who are passionate about this topic.

  7. Communities Action • Raise awareness of the Minnesota Covenant for Education Equity with Excellence. • Develop some taskforce or workgroups to address equity within your community.

  8. Organizations Action • Schedule a meeting agenda item to discuss the Covenant. • Give progress reports on your effort to implement the goals of the Covenant. • Partner with grassroots organizations that work on racial equity in education.

  9. Government Agencies Action • Organize committee or workgroups to create strategic plans to address education equity. • Assess and target funding efforts towards these goals. • Establish policies and practices that will increase racial equity in education
