  3. Scope and role of workstreams ECR Europe agreed focus areas: 1. Consumer focus (OSA, CRM,…) 2. Standards (Data sync, RFID,...) 3. Professional relationships (shrinkage, CPFR,…) Workstreams function as a bridge between: ECR Europe Board, GCI, Advisory Group, European and National Initiatives We co-ordinate:Past, Current and Future projects to ensure we tackle agreed focus areas

Scope and role of workstreams • Develop and transfer (teach & implement) best practice ECR and success stories across Europe • Launch, coach, co-ordinate, support ECR projects and their implementation to ensure alignment and consistency at European & national level (if topic of European relevance) and collaboration between retailers and suppliers • Develop and recommend KPIs for implementation (+ endorse business KPIs recommended by projects)

Objectives & deliverables of workstreams • Project Development • Drives innovation in new ECR improvement concepts and processes • Leverages work undertaken at national level to European scale, if appropriate • Initiates, governs and tracks European and national projects • Checks deliverables of projects and KPIs against objectives of ECR Europe • Provides joint vision to all projects at European & national level and ensures coherence of approach • Co-Chairs : Rita Marzian, Metro Luc Demeulnenaere, P&G Co-ordinator : Katrin Recke, AIM

Objectives & deliverables of workstreams • Learning • Progressive Management Programme (PMP): Furthers leadership in collaborative business practices by small groups of high-potential junior & middle managers • General Learning Programme (GLP): Effects a broad-scale change in collaborative management behaviour across our industry (‘massification’) • The Quest for New Knowledge: Develops new thinking and research on collaborative business management (Academic Partership role)Co-Chairs : retailer, tbc Bob Wilkinson, CokeCo-ordinator : Bernard Karli, ECR

Objectives & deliverables of workstreams • Implementation • Champions implementation of ECR practices (from blue book and pilot to day-to-day process) • Drives implementation of global standards (e.g. data synchronisation, RFID) • Develops KPI’s and measures implementation of ECR practices and global standards (with the help of the ECR global scorecard). Makes recommendations to tackle non-implementation • Validates advantages of ECR co-operation (‘thebusiness case for ECR’) vs resource levels reqdCo-Chairs : retailer, tbc Vicki Belcher, GilletteCo-ordinator : Marianne Dehousse, AIM

  13. Example: Alignment of EU project launch, execution & implementation • Project launch • Potential European project topic identified and proposed by Nationals. Agreed in principle by ECR Board & Board sponsor designated • Project brief drafted and submitted to Advisory Group for approval • Call for nominations sent to ECR community • Project execution • Project ideally organised around Development, Learning, Implementation (+ Conference and Communication) - CRM, OSA and shrinkage already organising work accordingly • Project implementation • EU Project team to agree KPI’s, measure results and report on implementation and national roll-out
