  6. Faroe-Bank Channel • Around 2 Sv of deep water through the FBC • Monitored since 1995 Hansen and Osterhus, Faroe Bank Channel overflow 1995–2005, Prog. Oc., 2007

  7. Faroe-Shetland Channel • 2.7±0.5Sv mean strength • Timseries from 1992 (combined moorings and altimetry) Berx et al., 2013, Combining in situ measurements and altimetry to estimate volume, heat and salt transport variability through the Faroe–Shetland Channel.Oc. Sci.

  8. GSR totals • Total inflow across GSR is 7 Sv • Overflows (FBC+DS) is 6 Sv • No trend in transport • Noticeable increase in temperature 7.1 Sv +- 1 Sv Shetland branch Faroe branch Iceland branch

  10. The 53ºN Array Located at exit of Labrador Sea Joint Canadian (C1-C3,K7), US (K7) and German NACLIM PI: Johannes Karstensen (GEOMAR)

  11. Rejkyannes Ridge 4 moorings on west flank of the RR Will be deployed this year (1 year delayed) for 3 times 1 year measuring velocities, T and C NACLIM PI Laura de Steur (NIOZ)
