  4. How to measure and show direction? There are three ways to show direction • Compass point • Whole circle bearing • Reduced bearing

  6. 2.Whole circle bearing • Show the direction in bearings by using a protractor. • It starts from north in a clockwise direction. • The direction of one place from another is described by the number of degrees measuring from north.

  8. 3. Reduced bearing • It shows the direction in degrees. • It starts either from northor south to east or west. • Besides giving the number of degrees, it is necessary to indicate from which direction (N or S) to which direction (E or W).
