Workshop objectives • identify the key scientific questions at the interface of atmospheric chemistry and air pollution health effects • identify key areas in which integrated research is needed • discuss the benefits for scientific research and environmental and health policy that would accrue from dealing with air pollution and atmospheric chemistry in a more integrated way

  3. Sessions: • Session 1: Modeling and Measurements relevant for estimating human health impacts • Session 2: Integrated Atmospheric Chemistry and Health • Session 3: Current Knowledge about the Health Effects of Air Pollution • Session 4: Policy Implication

Workshop format • 4 sessions- we realize there will be overlap • Short talks- plenty of discussion • Thursday: 13-15 PM Key scientific questions for Integrated Research on Atmospheric Chemistry and Health (discuss also publication) • 15 PM Close of workshop • 15 PM- 17 PM: Discuss the who/what/when of the follow up of this workshop Everybody welcome!

  6. Dissemination • Collection of key-papers on ftp-ccu.jrc.it/pub/dentener • Presentations +reports on HEI website ? • Report, including presentations, introduction+prelimenary conclusions • IGAC solicits contribution for its newsletter • High impact publication
