Have a pH value above 7. • Acidity-The measure of how acidic a substance is. • Acid-A substance with a sour taste that will react with a base to form a salt. Have a pH value below 7. • Alkalinity-The measure of how basic a substance is. • pH Scale- A scale ranging from 0-14 that scientists use to tell how acidic or basic a substance is.
