  3. What is the Student Assistance Program? • The college’s solution for providing confidential counseling and referral Service for students that have personal issues which could affect their academic performance, their personal lives or their well-being in general.

  4. What does SAP Offer? • Twenty-four (24) hour telephone access Call: 800-878-5470 (toll free) Email: baycare.org/sap • Assessments (initial phone call) • Referrals • Short-term counseling services-up to three (3)sessions per student per year

  5. What does SAP Offer? • Comprehensive referral network of • licensed mental health counselors. • Referral to community resources. • Or to student’s insurance/benefits provider • for ongoing treatment, if appropriate.

  6. What does SAP Offer? • Faculty and Staff Training on: • Indicators of the at-risk student • Appropriate referral of students with • performance and/or behavioral issues • Educational workshops as requested by the • college (faculty or staff)

  7. What does SAP Offer? • Student Orientation and Education on: • Online Resources** • Supportive services for Military Veterans • Critical Incident Stress Debriefing: • Follow-up after stressful disturbing incidents
