  6. Handheld reading devices – E Readers, Kindle’s, & Nooks • Cheaper than textbooks • Internet access • Apps are available • Dictionary, Periodicals, newspaper • Headphone accessibility

  7. Netbooks • Easy to store • Made durable • Same capability of a laptop • More portable than a laptop • Easy to do in class activities with the whole class

  8. Video learning – Skype, Oovoo, and Face Time • Distance learning • Group projects

  9. Smart Boards • Hands on • Gets the whole class involved • Makes notes come alive • Involves creativity

  10. Clickers • Interactive tool for an entire class • Quizzes the class on the lesson

  11. Alpha-Smarts • Used more in elementary grades • Could be used in Special Education
