  32. What is Post-Paid Billing Some Hotspot operators would like to setup their billing mechanism as Post-Paid. Scenario: When a client wants to access Internet, the client has to go to the hotspot operator to ask for an account. Hotspot operator just press “Enter”, an account with ID/Password follow by a “Code” will be print out. Client input the ID/Password and access to internet. When client want to terminate the service and get a bill, just inform his “code” to hotspot operator. Hotspot operator then key in the “code” and press “Enter”, a total amount of receipt will be print out. Charging Rate ~30 min = $0.5 /per min. 31~60 min =$0.3/ per min. 60 min~ =$0.1 /per min.   34. Credit Card Service • Provides payment server/credit card service gateway, which can let venue owner offer credit card service by registering as member from “Authorize.net” • Subscriber can buy one account (such as 30 minutes and $1.00) directly from login page (see next page)

  36. Pass Through Pass Through Destination allows the subscribers to access specified Internet websites without authentication, which is useful to promote selected services. Pass Through Subscriber is useful for VIP users without authentication. Pass Through LAN device is also useful for devices that do not have a web browser (cash registers, for example) or that are connected with LAN port (wireless access points, for example).

  37. Filtering Filtering allows the system administrator to have a list of restricted destinations, which is useful to block specified Internet websites or Intranet areas.

  41. DDNS • The DDNS service, an IP Registry provides a public central database where information such as email addresses, hostnames, IPs etc. can be stored and retrieved. This solves the problems if your DNS server uses an IP associated with dynamic IPs. • When the ISP assigns the WSG-401 a new IP, the WSG-401 must inform the DDNS server the change of this IP so that the server can update its IP-to-DNS entry. Once the IP-to-DNS table in the DDNS server is updated, the DNS name for your web server (i.e., xyz.dyndns.org) is still usable.
