  1. What is Automated Digestion System and its types An automated digestion system is a machine, which automates the preparation of EPA and the method used for the laboratory. This uses hot water baths or heated blocks. While the analysis of metal and the Mercuries, the sample preparation has many steps, which are more time consuming and labor intensive. Benefits of Automated Digestion system The system can add up to nine reagents and 60 samples of positions which can contain 50ml of sample vials. There are 8 reagents used for D.I water or the acids and the other elements like reagents which are important for diluting and digesting these samples. The nine reagents will have a low path in order to prevent some cross- contamination using other reagent and the samples. For the digestion of mercury sample, some customers who are concerned about the environment use the dedicated lines for the potassium permanganate. This system has a capacity to heat the samples in 120 degree Celsius, shaking, and diluting into the final volume after the process of digestion, they measure the sample color as they need through the method of mercury method.

  2. Types of the Digestion system Turbot herm infrared rapid digestion system is an adjustable digestion system. It has a capacity of holding varieties of samples, which makes easy in the modern laboratory. This can accept the tubes, which are from 100 to 800 ml, and thus it is an adjustable system. Turbot herm has two types such as with electronic timer and power control and another one is manual control. Another type of system is block digestion units. The digestion blocks contain aluminum with holes for the digestion tubes. This helps the energy of efficient heat and the insulation for retaining the heat within the block. It has a rack, which is made using an integrated shield of heat, and the window provides safe and easy sample observations.
