  3. ABO Blood Groups • Antigens: • Proteins that help identify cells as foreign or natural • Found on surface of RBCs • Help to determine your blood type • Analogy: Antigens are like jerseys • Antibodies: • Float freely in plasma • Attack anything with foreign antigens
