Basic expectations against the educational system • Appropriate synch and asynchronous communication • System substative • Compatible with the widespread multimedia authorial system • Modular build up toolkit • Can be used for teacher centered communication and communication without a teacher as well • Can be used easily by the teacher and the student as well • Easy maintenace, flexibility • Cost effective • Contains asset assortment for knowledge measurement

Basic expectations against the evaluation system: • There is a range of check up questions at the end of each unit. • There are exercises waiting for solution at the end of each unit. • There is a possibility of self-evaluation at the end of each bigger units. • The answers and the feedback is given for each exercise. • There is a possibility of stepping forwards and backwards by the exercises.

Comparison of VLE systems Schoolnet Digital Knowledge base • There is a serious developing base and money behind it • It basic elements are the material elements, the module can be constructed from it • Uneasy material developing environment • Single leveled exercise system, no feedback • Does not function yet.
