It is easy to eat more than we require, and often foods that do not support a long, healthy and active life. But you can eat (more) cake if you cycle fast… join the BUG and eat cake food should be a pleasure. The BUG website includes a food guide to Newcastle and surrounds. That’s why the BUG has a buddy scheme, and why we support the cycle to work scheme. If you are nervous about cycling we will link you up with someone who will encourage and support you. If you can’t afford a bike there are other possibilities. University employees may be able to purchase a bicycle through the cycle to work scheme; through which you get significant savings on the cost price, and spread payments over a 12 month period get Stern‘climate change fatigue’? Current members include staff, postgraduates, undergraduates of Newcastle University as well as other people who live and work around the University campus. Everyone is welcome.
