  2. I Corinthians 13:1-8 “Love does…believe all things” (vs. 7) – present active indicative of pisteuō – to believe; have a mental persuasion; be convinced; place confidence in. Not gullibility, but Faith Rest (application of the Word) in ALL situations of life; the NOW situations! Doesn’t look for the bad side, but knows Romans 8:28; Ephesians 1:19; Mark 9:23

  3. I Corinthians 13:1-8 “Love does…hope all things” (vs. 7) – present active indicative of elpidzō – to expect; to trust; to flee for refuge; wait. To have hope & confidence in. Faith Rest expectation of the future (Dying Grace & Phase 3).

  4. I Corinthians 13:1-8 “Love does…endure all things” (vs. 7) – present active indicative of hupomenō– to bear up under; endure; hold out; to remain under; to persevere. Circumstance testing! Under misfortunes & trials to hold fast to one’s faith in Christ in all things. Faith Rest with emphasis on holding ground when the Angelic Conflict intensifies & suffering results. We are in a tremendous battle in this intensified stage of the Angelic Conflict (Invisible War) (cf. Hebrews 12:2).

  5. I Corinthians 13:1-8 Hupomonē/hupomenō also has the idea of bearing bravely & calmly. Romans 5:3, 4 – “perseverance” (“produces” is katergazomai – cf. Philippians 2:12) (“knowing” is oida – cf. Romans 8:28). James 1:3 – “patience” (“produces” is katergazomai – cf. Philippians 2:12) (“testing” is dokimion; related to dokimazō – which is a whole other doctrine for another time! Cf.
