  4. When do I use and apostrophe? Use an apostrophe: To form possessives with compound nouns Ex. My mother-in-law’s advice

  5. When do I use and apostrophe? Use an apostrophe: To form certain plurals Ex. I got two C’s this semester. There are two 4’s in his phone number.

  6. Apostrophes and Possession Use an apostrophe: To form the possessive of a singular word. Add an apostrophe and an s Ex. Girl’s dress, gentleman’s courtesy.
