  3. Sound • Sound crew is responsible for collecting, preparing, and running the sound for a performance. They provide any sound that is not provided by the actor (objects, background, music, etc) • Fulfills three distinct functions • Amplifies speech • Provides special effects • Supplies music to enhance the mood and meaning of a play
