  10. Campaign Objectives • Increase awareness of Apprenticeships to key sectors in London. • Generate 200 learner starts by end of November 2008. • Generate 1200 Apprenticeship leads c.60 leads per week, to be attended by the Apprenticeship Campaign Team.

  11. Target Audience • Business size 2-249 employees • DM Contact: Managing Director / Human Resources Director / Recruitment Lead • Target sectors (based on available provision of training): • Built Environment / Construction • Active Leisure • Retail • Hospitality & Catering

  12. Key Messages • Productivity – Apprentices improve long term productivity of business • Loyalty – Apprentices stay with businesses longer and give greater commitment • Quality – Apprentices help bring a fresh approach to an organisation; learning from ‘grass roots’ specific to a business

Campaign Delivery • Develop Extranet to enable data capture (Copy of fields provided) • Source and validate data • Write sector specific scripts and DM material (copies provided) • Fulfil DM • Follow-up calls to employers • Establish apprenticeship or other training needs • Appointment generation and confirmation • Lead tracking

  15. Progress To Date • Extranet up and running • Validated data • Sorted by local LSC and sector • Estimated the percentage of companies employing apprentices in each sector • Fulfilled first DM to previous contacts and to hairdressing • Commenced lead generation calls
