Festivaler Forestillede fællesskaber Benedict Anderson (1983): ImaginedCommunities "It is imagined because the members of even the smallest nation will never know most of their fellow-members, meet them, or even hear of them, yet in the minds of each lives the image of their communion.” (Anderson oprindeligtomnationen, men kanbrugesomandrefællesskaber, f.eks. festivaler.)

  4. Festivaler Festivaler som forestillede fællesskaber: • Begrænsede. Uanset størrelsen af festivalen, vil den have en grænse. På den anden side af den grænse er der nogle ”andre”, der ikke er med i fællesskabet. • Enestående/frie. Det er begivenheder, der ikke kan reproduceres. Festivaler kan forestille sig uafhængigt af det omgivne samfunds kulturelle hierarkier. • Fælles identitet. Uanset de spændinger og uligheder, der kan være mellem deltagere m.fl. ved en festival, er de først og fremmest karakteriseret ved et horisontalt ”kammeratskab”.
