In addition to the distractions, the people of practicum are some of the best people to work with • In all my classes so far at UMF I have never made so many friends or spent so much time talking to another classmate beyond hi I’ll do this half of the project and you can do that half • Beyond work, beyond technology, beyond classroom management, this class has taught me the value of community

This practicum class has taught me a valuable mathematical equation • God – omnipotence = a great teacher • In my quest to be a great teacher I need to aspire to be the best that I can be in as many areas as possible (history, MI’s, CM) • The best part is I do not have to do this alone • We already know at least 11 other great teachers (block two not included due to reasons of goat)

It’s not all fun and games in Dr. Overalls class • In this class we express our opinions about technology using blogs • In this class we receive free iPads and download apps and games to play • In this class we have to create comics based on nightmares • In this class……… wait a minute……… This cannot be a class, it’s too much fun!

Before this class, I would have never thought it was possible to teach history without lecture, to create a project not using PowerPoint • It’s like eating spaghetti without a fork • It’s like inhaling helium instead of air • It’s like watching Star Wars episodes 1, 2 and 3 before 4, 5 and 6 • You look really stupid doing it but eventually you can do it with a straight face • However, with this course I was able to practice and I had a blast creating an xtranormal program or using Fakebook to create an interesting product and I hope my future students will too

As mentioned before the best part of practicum is the community • That said, I do not think Devin and I should be allowed in the same car anymore • without even considering the seven red lights he ran or the four times he attempted to ram into the car in front of us • This may have something to do with the awesome conversations we had about the classes, students and mentors we were working with • In addition, Theresa unwittingly allowed the two best people to work together on projects for class. • Tyler Brown is probably the best pimp I have ever worked with even if he makes the sun cry • An awesome partner and a great friend really makes a class so much easier

Do I have any regrets about the practicum class? • Yes, I wish we had the ability to slow time down because due dates are really quick • I am pretty sure I tripped over the digital story due date on my way over here this morning • I wish I would be able to see all these awesome classmates again • (which I will as I hacked the school websites and saw what everyone else was taking and took that too shoosh don’t tell)

I love technology and I am proud to share that sentiment • (I’m pretty sure I brought up videogames at least seven times in class conversations) • I will strive to use the teachings of this class in my own classroom in the extremely bright future ahead of me

I think each and every one of us in the Practicum class of Spring 2013 should be very proud • We managed to survive the pressures of the practicum experience • And we did it as a group • Each of us helping one another • Thanks Guys! • And a very special thanks to Dr. Overall for making it all possible!
