How Magnetic Float Level Switches Work

A magnetic float level switch works by sensing the fluid level inside a tank and actuating an electric switch when the necessary level is reached. For more about how this automation device works, take a look at this ppt. Visit us: https://aqualogistics.com.sg/products/<br>

  1. How Magnetic Float Level Switches Work

  2. Introduction A Magnetic float level switch, also called proximity switches, works by sensing the position of a small metal ball or cylinder that is suspended inside a liquid in order to control the output of energy. These types of switches are primarily used for limiting the amount of power a pump operates at. Read More: Ballast Water Treatment System

  3. How Does a Float Switch Work? Voltage in the marine heat exchanger must be present to tell the switch it is safe to operate. If some type of interruption, whether human or natural, causes voltage to be lost or passes 0 volts before 10 seconds, then the process stops automatically until full voltage returns. Units should be connected with moisture-sensitive material that has been rated for their operating pressure (i.e., thermistor).

  4. Types of Magnetic Float Switches Magnetic float switches are the most common type of switch used on modern water supply systems. They work by having an electromagnet that attracts a metal ball when the liquid level reaches a certain point. The switch will activate based on changes in magnetism in the vicinity of the float ball, which is held in place by a spring clip at one end and a needle at the other. 5. The Advantages of Magnetic Float Swifts Magnetic float level switchare based on the principle of magnetic attraction. This is done by using a small iron-based crystal that sits at the rim of a very thin and flexible bladder. When the fluid reaches the end of its volume, it acts like an iron-magnet and pulls or pushes the pull wire attached to it. 6. The Disadvantages of Magnetic Float Switches Magnetic Float Level Switches are the most widely used float switches and are easy to install. However, they must either be installed below the level of liquid when it is at its highest point or have a tube with an airbell at its lowest point. In these situations, magnetic float switches will seldom fail, as they can still detect a change in level. Visit us: Marine Windows
