  2. What are QR Codes? • An abbreviation for Quick Response Codes • Similar to barcodes • Different in amount of information they can hold

  3. Barcodes • Linear one-dimensional codes • Can only hold up to 20 numerical digits

  4. QR Codes • Two-dimensional (2D) matrix barcodes • They hold thousands of alphanumeric characters of information. • Their ability tohold more information and their ease of use makes them ideal for libraries.
