SQA Speaking and Listening assessments (can be assessment on demand) FD5N08 – Access 2 FD5N09 – Access 3 FD5N10 – Intermediate 1 Spouse Visa is valid for 2 years and must be extended or an application for indefinite leave to remain applied for before expiry of the visa Extensions require only speaking and listening assessments if not already achieved (those prior to 29 Nov 2010) Spouse Visa Partners of a British Citizen or persons settled in the UK require a minimum of Access 2 (A1) level in speaking and listening

Those at or above Intermediate 1: Life in the UK Test Those below Intermediate 1 ESOL with Citizenship materials with an “accredited college” see www.esolscotland.com or UKBA website Must attend a course and show progression of one level Must receive a letter from the “accredited college” (template available on UKBA) Applying for Indefinite Leave to Remain as a Partner of someone settled in UK

  3. Tier 1 and Tier 2 Visa holders Individuals who have been working in the UK, may qualify for long residence and may be eligible to apply for settlement and Citizenship. • They must sit the Life in the UK test.
