  10. General tips: text amount & format • Leave 20% white space. • Write in shorter paragraphs. • 7  10 words per line (!) • Avoid heavy lines. • Avoid least read – bottom left. • Use most read – bottom right.

  14. Readability guidelines • DO use 12-point font • DO use ragged right justification • DON’T use sentence constructions that cause reading twice, like / and ( ) • DON’T leave out articles like “the” or “a” • DON’T use lots & lots of bullets

  17. 5. Proofread & proofread • Proofread multiple times, checking 1 element each time for consistency & accuracy: • Font size • Verb forms (parallel structure) • Punctuation • Capitalization • Ask 2 friends to proofread your CV
