  3. Suggestions for pre-writing: Write down every question being asked of you. Brainstorm topics. Determine your thesis- write it down. Determine what concrete details support the thesis. Determine what context the reader will need to know. 6. Determine when/where you will answer each question.

Suggestions for writing: • Go with the five paragraph essay. • Use the thesaurus and dictionaries available to you. • Use the same criteria that apply in English- just because the prompt may be easier, does not mean your standards should be lower. • Conventions matter • EDIT! • TAKE YOUR TIME!
