  2. Give Five Reasons why Rome Fell… • Its expanding boundaries brought many problems. • The gap between rich and poor grew wider. • There was a breakdown in its military. • Civil war broke out between groups. • Germanic tribes attacked and won land.

  13. Vassal • A person who received a grant of land from a lord in exchange for a pledge of loyalty and services.

  16. Knight • An armored warrior who fought on horseback in Medieval Europe.
