  1. Title: Investigating the genetics of body shape and body colour in dragonflies Hypothesis 1) The allele which codes for gray colour is dominant over the allele which codes of brown colour. 2) The allele which codes for pointy body is dominant over the allele which codes of long body. 3) The genes for body colour and body shape are not linked. Cross 1: Brown, Long x Brown, Pointy Cross 2: Brown, Long x Gray, Long Chi square is 0.085, d.f. =1, p=0.7702. Since p value is more than 0.05, we do not reject the null hypothesis. Chi square is 0.005, d.f. =1, p=0.9418. Since p value is more than 0.05, we do not reject the null hypothesis. Cross 3: Brown, Pointy x Gray, Long & Test cross with F1 generation Chi square is 0.952, d.f. =3, p=0.8129. Since p value is more than 0.05, we do not reject the null hypothesis.
